Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — MCMDO, in collaboration with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), conducted a Community-Based Protection Network (CBPN) training at URA Camp, bringing together representatives from refugee and host communities.

The training engaged refugee representatives, women’s groups, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs), creating a space for community members to strengthen their understanding of protection concerns and explore ways to support vulnerable individuals within their communities.

The session focused on strengthening the capacity of community-based protection networks to identify protection concerns, respond to the needs of vulnerable people, and promote safer and more resilient communities. By equipping community representatives with relevant knowledge and practical approaches, the training supports communities to play a stronger role in identifying and addressing protection risks.

Through continued collaboration with communities and partners, MCMDO remains committed to strengthening locally led protection mechanisms and promoting inclusive, safe, and resilient communities.
