Our Core Education Programs
As a non-profit organization, MCMDO focuses on providing essential services where they are most needed. Our health initiatives include:
Ensuring children aged 0–8 gain the foundations for lifelong learning through inclusive, holistic early childhood care and education.
Expanding access to quality primary education for marginalized and out-of-school children, while strengthening alternative learning pathways.
Breaking barriers to empower girls through safe, inclusive education and gender-responsive teaching approaches.
Creating opportunities for children with disabilities to learn and thrive through advocacy, awareness, and capacity-building.
Delivering uninterrupted, protective learning for children affected by conflict, displacement, and crises.
Building literacy, digital, life, and vocational skills to prepare youth for future employment and active citizenship.
More than 18,659 beneficiaries (10,236 male and 8,423 female) have been reached under different education interventions. We currently have three projects in three woredas, partnering with EHF – OCHA.
More than 350 children are being supported by our sponsorship program. This program assists orphans and vulnerable children by providing different kinds of support to help them go to school and become self-reliant.
The enrollment rate among children with disabilities is below 5%, which highlights the critical need for our inclusive education efforts to close the education gap for these children.
At MCMDO, we are dedicated to empowering communities through education, from early childhood to our sponsorship programs.
