MCMDO Child Space Center recently welcomed a group of visitors led by GOAL USA Board Chairman Ronan Ryan, along with Board members Conor Twomey and Tony Chambers, GOAL USA CEO Eamon Sharkey, and Irish Olympian, multiple-time World Champion, and GOAL ambassador, Eamonn Coghlan. The delegation discussed the project’s implementation with MCMDO Addis Ababa Area Program Manager Resom Sisay.
Since its inception in 2012, MCMDO Child Space program has partnered with GOAL International to provide essential services for street children in Addis Ababa, including rehabilitation and reintegration support.
In the meantime, the visitors congratulated and awarded ICSP graduation approach project target graduates on food preparation and kitchen operation.

AGREEMENT SIGNING! MCMDO is grateful to announce the agreement signing with Project HOPE to implement USAID Empowered Communities Activity (USAID-ECA) in Oromia region Woliso, Lome, Fentale, Ameya, Dawo and Batu woredas. The goal of USAID Empowered Communities Activity (USAID-ECA) is to strengthen community systems and platforms, to improve health and nutrition outcomes, to improving community level health literacy and engagement, capacity strengthening of non-state actors (NSAs) and accountability systems as well as increasing service delivery through NSA managed health facilities are important result areas. The project period will be from June 19/2024 – Nov17/ 2027.
As part of our Integrated multi-sector assistance to IDPs and Host communities in Tselemti Woreda and Mystery Town, our MCMDO team has successfully Distributed WASH NFI Kits.
The items delivered include washing basins, buckets, jerrycans, laundry and bathing soaps, water purification tablets, sanitary napkins, underwear, and sanitary pads.
