The Mothers and Children Multisectoral Development Organization (MCMDO) successfully convened its Board of Directors Meeting on 31 July 2026, bringing together Board Members and the organization’s leadership for a scheduled governance meeting.
The meeting commenced with welcoming remarks and included the recognition of outgoing Board Members for their dedicated service, leadership, and valuable contributions to the growth of the organization. MCMDO also officially welcomed and inducted newly appointed Board Members, reaffirming its commitment to strong governance, institutional continuity, and strategic leadership.
MCMDO is proud that its newly constituted Board reflects a strong commitment to inclusive leadership, with three of its five Board Members being women. This balanced representation strengthens the organization’s governance by bringing diverse perspectives, inclusive decision making, and leadership that reflects the communities MCMDO serves. As an organization dedicated to improving the lives of women, children, and vulnerable communities, this composition reinforces MCMDO’s values of equality, participation, and empowerment at the highest level of leadership.
Throughout the meeting, Board Members reviewed key organizational matters related to governance, operations, and administration, providing strategic guidance to support the organization’s continued growth and effectiveness.
MCMDO extends its sincere appreciation to both the outgoing and newly appointed Board Members for their commitment to advancing the organization’s mission of empowering communities and transforming lives. The organization looks forward to working closely with the Board as it continues to deliver sustainable, people centered development and humanitarian interventions across Ethiopia.
