The gathering created a meaningful opportunity to celebrate children’s achievements, strengthen relationships with families and partners, recognize academic excellence and highlight the importance of continued support for children’s education and wellbeing.

A Day to Celebrate Children’s Achievements

One of the highlights of the gathering was the recognition of the Top Ten Students, who were celebrated for their strong academic performance and commitment to their education.

Their achievements served as an encouragement to other sponsored children to remain focused on their studies, work hard and continue striving toward their educational goals.

Bringing Children, Families and Partners Together

The Annual Parents’ Day provided an important space for sponsored children, parents and caregivers, sponsors, schools, government representatives and MCMDO staff to come together, share experiences and strengthen collaboration.

The gathering also offered an opportunity to share information about the progress, activities and achievements of MCMDO’s Sponsorship Programme.

Strengthening Connections with Sponsors

A special part of the day was the opportunity for children to write letters to their sponsors.

Through this activity, children were able to share their experiences, express themselves and strengthen their personal connection with those supporting them through the Sponsorship Programme.

Encouraging Children to Dream and Achieve

Messages shared by parents, partners and representatives emphasized the importance of education, commitment and positive habits in helping children build a better future.

Participants also expressed appreciation for MCMDO’s continued efforts to support children and families and encouraged students to remain committed to their education and future aspirations.

Recognizing the Commitment of Sponsors and Partners

MCMDO also recognized and appreciated sponsors and partners for their continued support and contribution to the Sponsorship Programme.

Their commitment remains an important part of creating opportunities for children and supporting their education, wellbeing and development.

Learning, Connecting and Celebrating Together

Beyond the formal sessions, the gathering created a joyful and inclusive environment for children, families and guests. Participants enjoyed refreshments, games, entertainment and other activities that encouraged interaction and celebration.

Building Stronger Partnerships for Children

The Annual Parents’ Day demonstrated the value of bringing together the different people and institutions supporting children. The event strengthened parent engagement, encouraged academic excellence, improved communication between children and sponsors, and reinforced collaboration among families, schools, partners, government representatives and MCMDO.

MCMDO remains committed to strengthening its Sponsorship Programme and supporting children and families through education, protection, participation and other appropriate programme interventions.
