MCMDO has proudly extended vital medical and non-medical support to 7 woredas in the Tigray region, reinforcing health facilities and community resilience.
Our support included:
• Essential medicines valued at over 7 million ETB
• IPC materials to prevent and control infections in health facilities
• Equipment & supplies to refurbish 104 OTP sites and 17 SCs
• Food items & edible oil to provide meals for caretakers of children under five admitted in SCs
• Coffee, sugar, Kolo, and water to strengthen Mother-to-Mother Support Groups (M2MSGs)
The handover ceremony was attended by Dr. Solomon Getachew, Executive Director of MCMDO, and Dr. Amanuel Haile, Head of the Tigray Regional Health Bureau.
Dr. Amanuel expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Tigray people for MCMDO’s unwavering support, while Dr. Solomon extended appreciation to the regional government and MCMDO’s regional office for their collaboration in serving communities in need.
With this initiative, MCMDO has ensured that supplies reached each woreda and last-mile health facilities bringing care, dignity, and hope to those who need it most.
