With our distinguished partner Action Against Hunger’s invitation, during October 15–17, 2025 A wide range of stakeholders, including embassy personnel, civil society organizations, IGAD representatives, University professors from east Africa country, government representatives, development and humanitarian partners, and regional networks addressing the nutrition and climate crises, came together for this policy discussion. It gives MCMDO a chance to assess our involvement in the R2G (Right2Grow) and GFFO (German Federal Foreign Office) project initiatives, pinpoint important successes and lessons learned, and commemorate our group’s advancement.
In addition to participating in the panel discussions, the Global Policy dialogue has also looked at new methods to form collaborations for future financing and scaling up nutrition interventions throughout the continent. The ultimate goal of this gathering is to make investments in mutual learning and discover fresh approaches to continue expanding our collective influence. Peer learning, networking, and forming strategic alliances with other actors for possible collaborations and coordinated interventions were all opportunities during the conference. MCMDO was honored to participate in this kind of policy-level discussion.
