A livelihood is a project that aims to improve the income and well-being of people living in poverty. Livelihood projects can involve different activities, such as providing loans, training, or resources to help people start or expand their businesses. Livelihood projects can also help to enhance the social and environmental aspects of the communities where they are implemented.

MCMDO reach from rural kebele communities to overcrowded urban slums and refugee camps. We support and treat different beneficiaries under this project across all regions in the country.

Our Approach

Food Security and Livelihood

MCMDO support the refugees to be engaged in vegetable production to produce own food, rare shoats for milk consumption and or to get additional income by selling, income generate and support themselves using backyard vegetable products.

Awareness Creation

Our team give support for refugees through Community discussions on child feeding,  vegetable production and IYCF through organizing  Cooking demonstration sessions and training of, community incentive workers and model beneficiaries, distributing agricultural tools.

Life skill training

MCMDO gives  training on  basic skills acquired through learning and/or direct life experience that enable individuals and groups to effectively handle issues and problems commonly encountered in daily life.

Vocational Training

MCMDO provides alternatives to irregular primary and secondary movements for urban refugees and hot spot communities get Life skill, wood work, metalwork and food cooking training through Livelihood Regional Development Partnership Program.
