MCMDO focuses on developing robust public and community systems that address the underlying causes of illness in addition to meeting the needs of the people they serve. Each program at MCMDO draws on tried-and-true inclusion, social, and behavior change approaches, with a focus on collaborating with communities to investigate social, cultural, and institutional barriers.

MCMDO reach From rural kebele communities to IDPs and refugee camps. We prevent and treat more than1,893,891 beneficiaries under health projects in across all regions in the country. currently we do have 16 projects in 14 woredas.

Identifying the risks, gaps and permanent actors

MCMDO strongly works on effective health system strengthening, to potential threats or vulnerabilities within the health system This includes inadequate funding, workforce shortages, or infrastructure limitations. Our team works on filling the Gap that can exist in service delivery, accessibility, quality, or governance.

Enable existing systems to provide critical health emergency response

MCMDO works on Strengthening and scaling up the community-based health workforce. The local health workers play a vital role in all phases of emergency risk management, including prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.

Our team Engages local communities in health promotion and disease prevention, Establish healthcare services within schools to improve access for children and their families help them receive vaccinations, health screenings, and basic medical care.

Collaborating with key stakeholders

Our team collaborates with stakeholders who can provide valuable input, skills, knowledge, and resources to influence local and national policies and regulations in support of community and systems resilience to health-related shocks.

Partnering with community health workers

We collaboratively work with Community health workers through giving different training so that they will be able to educate communities, check on children’s health, provide immunizations, and treat malnutrition and other illnesses early. They save parents the long walk to the nearest health clinic, and continue to monitor a child’s recovery during regular home visits.
